What Is a Non Surgical Nose Job?

When people used to say they were having a nose job, that meant they were going under the knife for a cosmetic rhinoplasty procedure. These days, it could mean they are opting for a non surgical nose job, also known as a liquid rhinoplasty.

If you’ve spent any time on social media lately, you’ve probably noticed more and more people talking about this quick cosmetic fix. But, what exactly is a non surgical nose job, and why are people being drawn to it? Let’s take a look.

What filler is used for a non surgical nose job?

A non surgical nose job uses dermal fillers like JUVÉDERM®and Restylane® that are injected into areas of the nose to fix imperfections. No actual cutting is done to give the nose its new shape.

How long do non surgical nose jobs last?

The results typically last for six months, but some patients report their results lasting for up to one year or longer. After that time, many return to the plastic surgeon’s office for another injection. However, there are concerns of inflammation due to repeated trauma in the same areas of the nose.

Why are people drawn to this procedure?

Many people opt for a liquid rhinoplasty over a routine rhinoplasty because it is quicker and cheaper at face value. It is sometimes referred to as a “lunchtime procedure” because it can be done quickly by simply numbing the area before injecting the filler. Many people go back to work right after getting it done versus a recovery period of a few days. You can see one of our patient’s results in the Instagram post below:

How much does a non surgical nose job cost?

The typical non surgical nose job costs around $2,000*, depending on the type of filler you choose. A traditional surgical nose job can run you around $8,000 to $14,000* or more.

Since the results of a non surgical nose job don’t last a lifetime, the cost can add up with each return touch-up visit. If you’re looking for more than a temporary quick fix, a traditional nose job is often the procedure of choice.
